Has anyone washed their ‘velvet’ curtains in a washing machine? Mine need freshening up, especially the cab ones. Any suggestions very welcome. Thank you.

I washed non velvet lined ones. Did them on the coolest & most gentle cycle, line dried (not tumble dried). Check first - it was a total faff taking ours off & putting them back (MH, not caravan), so I almost wished I hadn’t started. I took the opportunity to line the one at the habitation door with blackout material & slept much better after that.
If in doubt, take them to a dry cleaners.

they wont be true velvet but more velour, ive done ours several times in the past but wash them on a wool cycle and minimal spin and then line dry til almost done (damp) i then iron them on the reverse. what i would say tho is to make some labels using scrap fabric and stitch that into the header tape, make a diagram of which curtain goes where im lucky as i have an embroidery machine so can sew numbers/letters if you havent then perhaps a permanent marker would do the job?
