Can anyone advise what the cistern drain pipe looks like on a thetford c200 cwe
Number 2353462
Code 20020402.
There is at present a small piece of plastic tube with a rubber bung in the end.
When it needs emptying the water from the cistern pours into the cassette compartment and not outside. The caravan is a swift challenger 480e 2002.
Should this be a longer pipe only the bit of pipe looks a bodge job, I can't seem to find the correct pipe ( if there is one ) Hope someone can help thanks all.
Yes, not a great bit of design but it's the way to drain off the flush tank. Mine is OK if you angle it to the corner but the last dregs always seam to run down the onside of the cassette door, mine has an extra drain tube to drain the pump on the 250 mmodel so twice the mess.
I suppose you could add a small piece of pipe similar to a straw to get a better drain effect, never bothered.

Thanks for your replys, there isn't much what you can call a pipe. What was there was a piece of 1inch melted plastic tube pushed in the drain hole, not knowing at the time and seeing the obvious problem of it not draining correctly I used a piece of hose pushed on this 1inch bit of pipe. So now just wondering whether to just take off both pipes and put the bung plug directly into the drain hole without any pipe till I get home. I'm trying to find out if there is a proper drain pipe I can buy and what it looks like. Thanks
1. LeisureShopDirect are the place to go for spares. They usually have exploded diagrams of most caravan bits and pieces.
2. To drain, cut a hole in the side at the bottom of a plastic bottle and use that as a funnel. That gives you clearance so that the flushing liquid doesn't go all over the place.
Some while ago Thetford realised that frost damage was occurring because the tank was unable to be properly drained and issued an additional tube to be fitted. Whether or not that applied to your model I don't know but you could always speak to them.
