Hi, I did some thing stupid this morning, we were starting to pack away to come home I put some toast on for my wife’s breakfast.
I turned the dial up to toast a little more, like a fool I went to empty my waste water/ toilet when I came back to the van smoke was bellowing
Out of the door, I thought the van was on fire, I ran in took the toaster out opened all the windows put extractor fan on, the smell is just lingering. Any idea how I can possibly eliminate the smoke smell. I’ve left my van on the pitch as we are going back down on sataday
For a 2 Wk holiday, so can not do anything untill we arrive on sataday.
When our onboard battery charger burnt out and filled the van with white burnt electrical smelling smoke it took about a week of leaving the skylight and the door open for the van to return to normal.

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I had smoking smell problems in a van i bought. I bought a OzoneMaster Plus. Left it on for 3 hours a time aqnd it removed all of the smell. I gather car dealers use it oir removing smoking smell from second hand cars. mmmmm Just googled it. Gone up in price £174 !!!!!!!!!
Set a few small bowls/ saucers around the van filled with baking sodathat will absorb the odour. Cheap and simple.
You can also safely sprinkle baking soda on the fabric seats and carpet, leave overnight and then vacuum up. Google it…you will find information you need.
Diatomaceous earth is brilliant at removing smells - I use it to get rid of decomposing rat odours (and they can be bad!). It is possible to get it in bags that you hang up or loose in a powder form that you sprinkle. The product I use is called Earth Care but others are available. It absorbs the smell rather than masking it.
