I own a 2008 Lunar caravan ,which has 4 internal 12v dome lights on the roof. Maybe i am researching wrong but i am have great difficulty obtaining replacement lamps My alternative is to change the fittings or fit internal led,s.
I would be grateful if anyone on here could point me in the right direction.
They are,
12 volt 9watt fluorescent u tube lamps 6 inch long
9W/840 FLSE P05
I have looked on Google 'Images' and can't find anything of that part number. I only cleaned our 12 volt domed ceiling lights a few days ago on our 2004 model and noticed the unusual shape of the fluorescent tubes so yours are most likely the same. I would try phoning a caravan accessory shop first as they may have them in stock or obtain them on a special order.
If possible I would remove the fitting and replace with aluminium LED channel. Look on ebay for it. You buy LED tape, stick it inside and then slide on an opaque diffuser. Looks super modern.
I used some ot the aluminium channel like this, I then stuck some 5050 SMD strip LEDs inside, (it comes with sticky backing) and used a couple of end caps available from the same supplier to finish it off. Then I mounted the light under our fixed bed so that I could find things easier.
The strip, cover and LED strip can be cut to the length required.
Dave.

Many thanks for your replies ,i am thinking the internal led,s Trog mentioned is my best option and have some on order.
once you remove the existing internals you are basically left with a large empty box..
cut the existing wires crimp some spade connectors on and glue in your little led strips as many as you want.. what at first seems a complicated job turns into an easy one..
from the outside it all looks like it did originally..
