Hi and welcome to the forum. Roof strips wherever they are tend to leak over time for a few reasons, mainly the sealant hardens and doesn't do it's job properly any more. Other problems can be linked to the screws holding it on rusting, it's good practice to replace them with stainless steel equivalents after removing the strip and cleaning everything very well.
Remove the screws and carefully ease the strip off making sure you don't damage the strip, the aluminium underneath or the paint so plastic or rounded tools are good. White spirit desolves the sealent but leaves a white reswidue so clean that off with meths. Check that the wooden battens that your screws are going into have not rotted over time due to prolonged damp, if so they will need replacing from the inside to do a proper job.
It's not difficult but messy and time consumming so expensive to have done for you. Good luck.
