Coachman 560/4 ViP. 2013.
Can anyone help me, how do I gain accsess to the dimmable overhead lights in my coachman, two of the lights are of a different "lightness" to the other roof light. And I want to replace them, but cannot find a way to get to them.
Thanks Hutch.

When you say roof lights are you referring to the caravan interior ceiling lights?
If so, are they the large round domed ceiling lights along the centre or the smaller diameter recessed spot lights positioned above the seating area on each side?

Tango, the lights are the hidden ones along the top of the units on either side of the caravan in the living area and on the back and left side of the bedroom area, sorry no photos. Controlled by switch's in the front of the caravan below the speakers.

It sounds like your caravan is a bit more modern than ours so unfortunately they are different to ours so not the type of lights that I'm familiar with so can't offer any further advice. However, now that you have explained exactly where the lights are located maybe someone can hopefully answer your question.

The lights are behind the grey "coving" that has about an inch gap from the ceiling, I cannot find any screws to hold them in place.
Trying to upload a photo.

Thanks Birdman, next time at the van I will check, but I am almost sure the top of the locker is sealed from the light strip.

Try putting a sharp blade between the light shroud and the mating surface and prize it away from the aperture. If there is no evidence of any fixings then this may be the solution. Some round caravan clocks are installed this way plus some other interior caravan lights that have a cosmetic trim around the circumference which the fixing screws are hidden underneath.

Tango, never thought of that, to find the fixing screws, I will give it a try, I cannot believe no body on 4 forums and my two service engineers don't know how to get to the lights. My closest Coachman dealer is not helpful at all , based in Bicester.

Have a go as I suggested as I'm confident this is the procedure in how to remove the light and come back with the result hopefully with a positive outcome. It's been a few years ago now which someone on a forum had an identical problem trying to remove under cupboard lights in their washroom, but on that occasion it turned out to be an identical caravan to mine so I knew exactly how to remove the light trims by using a sharp blade or Stanley knife. They responded with thanks as they managed to successfully remove the lights.

Tango , I think tou may have missed my problem the lights are behing the grey " coving in the picture, they cannot be seen you cannot see them, they are not recessed. You cannot get to them through the lockers. I Think I will have to contact Coachman again, but tech services are very slow to respond. They just say contact a dealer, which I have and they don't know.
