Good afternoon. We have a Lunar Clubman. We have problems with some wallpaper style trims that have started to come unstuck. They are about 1inch in depth and are under the windows and on the walls of the wardrobes and elsewhere. They obviously have a purpose to make things look nice "nice" but when they are coming unstuck they are certainly not nice. We have tried PVA glue and last year the people that service tried to stick areas but they soon came unstuck. The caravan is looked after well. In the winter it is covered and it has just had its service and damp is not the problem for the strips starting to peel off.

I just wondered if anyone had any ideas what to use to stick down these wallpaper type strips to make it more aesthetically pleasing.

Many thanks

Mine are doing the same, thankfully most are out of sight so not too much of an eyesore. But poor design/materials on Lunar's part.

Perhaps too late for you now as you have applied additional adhesive, but I used a warm to hotish clothes iron (keep raising temp until it becomes effective, but beware plastic surface on wallpaper will melt if made too hot!) on a piece of cotton fabric (the same as pressing some clothes where you don't want to put a shine on the fabric) to stop direct contact between iron and wallpaper, and 'ironed' them back on. It softens and reactivates the original (self) adhesive. I do it every year or so, but it lasts quite well, probably as long as original application did! Now you have applied PVA and/or other adhesives, doubt that you will get that method to work and indeed may make a real mess with melted additional adhesive oozing out!

Hadn't given any thought to alternative methods and/or substituting any other covers for joins in wallpaper. With the plastic coated wallpaper, unlikely most water based adhesives (PVA etc.) would stick, but beware, many solvent based adhesives yellow with age and any visible adhesive may be very unsightly and impossible to remove without damaging surface of wallpaper! My strips had curled up at the edges as well, so any adhesive may require something like masking tape to hold the joint flat whilst adhesive dries.
