Hi, can anyone give me an idea of where to look for water ingress. I have water coming in on the opposite side to where the awning goes. It leaves the fixed bed headboard wet in the corner to the outside. I think it needs resealed but I am not sure. The rail (not on the awning side - is that where I would need to reseal?

Sorry, can't help but you are more likely to get a response if you give the year, make and model of the caravan

Unfortunately water ingress is the bane and often death of caravans.
There are a few favourate items that crop up regularly and that is, roof straps, awning rails, (either or both sides) and windows/door frames.

My advice would be to look very carefully inside and out to try to see the scale of the problem and work involved.

It isn't always straightforward to find the source as water travels behind boards and along wooden battens. However, it often leaves a trail of soft spongy wall board and rotten wooden frame, that should give you a clue to the size of the problem if not its exact origin.
Splits or cracks in the ABS or GRP panels is another one to look out for.

Resealing the awning rail should that be the problem, is the answer long term, you need to remove it, clean it all thoroughly and refit it again. You may need remedial work inside too replacing all wood and wallboard that is rotten and unsound.

Dave.
