hi, am having trouble connecting a whale 1622 pump to the caravan. when the tap is used water comes out of the connection point outside of the caravan. my van is a 2004 swift 480 se . regards David

I had an issue with a whale pump and believe others have had the same issue. The hose disconnects inside the connection plug. It is fairly simple to open up the connector and push the hose back on it would benefit from using a slim jubilee clip, a tie wrap pulled up tight would also help to ensure it stays on.

thanks, guys .problem solved a drop of olive oil on the o ring appears to have done the job. appreciate the comments.

Mine does the same. I replaced the o ring but water still pours out when using it

Its not unknown for the plastic push in fitting cracking, the plastic where the pipe hose is coupled split on mine
