Hi

Couple of questions -

Does anyone know the thickness of the polystyrene insulation used by Elddis in 1995 for the wall construction? If its not 25mm where is the best place to get sheets of it?

Does anyone know what the rubber strip used to hold the windows into the aluminium hinge is called and where to get hold of it? Or is it easier just to use something like Sikaflex EBT to glue the window into the ali strip? (When the window is open it slides out of the aluminium strip at the top leaving the strip in the hinge rail)

Once I get going with the project I'm sure there will be more questions, I'm pretty competent when I comes to building and repairing things, just new at caravan repairs....

The windows were a problem around that time and often fell out of the aluminium strip, the usually pushed them back into the strip (providing you have the rubber insert) and then drilled a hole at either end and pop riveted them in place.

I still have the rubbers. Hadn’t thought about riveting, my only concern with that is it adds a potential point of failure. I might try bonding one in and seeing how that works out.
