Is there any reason why this unit could not be re-positioned by 90° and under the MM power switch. Or over towards the sidewall forward of the Battery box?
My van is a '13 Lunar CK purchased 2 years ago.
Probably not, so long as it's still well ventilated and aerial wire (my unit has a 'loose' aerial wire - assuming yours does too!) is not screened by anything metallic, or too close to any electrical equipment that may cause interference.
Probably best to ensure case can still be removed in situ in case ever need to fault find, and the operation lights are still easily visible.

What arrange place to put the master switch, they are normally positioned outside in the battery box which is more practical.
Mine also needs to be located under the seat as it’s impossible to access the battery door as it’s six inches away from a fence.
No reason why the control box cannot be moved, any auto electrician or caravan dealer that fits movers could do it.

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We used to have the problem of the battery box too close to boundary fence so not practical for the master switch to be in the battery box.
Some years ago, when buying a caravan from our local dealer, we were discussing the subject of fitting a motor mover as part of the deal. He came up with the idea of putting the master switch in the gas locker.
I did not fit an external isolator switch as to close to wall to open. But you need to be able to switch off externally in an emergency. Therefore I fitted a 100 amp relay inside of caravan next to controller and a waterproof key switch externally at the front of the caravan. By having isolator inside, if a relay on the control box welded up the caravan would just keep moving and only way to stop it would be to try and get inside whilst it is still moving.

Just try to keep the leads to, and the leads from, the motors the same length each side, it helps to get an even current balance when you want to go in a straight line.

Thanks Dave,
At the moment I need to trust that all the cables are of equal length as the equipment was already fitted on the van when I bought it 2 years ago. But thanks again for your advice.
mine is in a similar position so i fitted a piece of plywood over it so i can put things on top.
------------- We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
My controller is fitted in an equally inconvenient position, but the under bench locker also has the electric power unit, the battery charger and the Truma Combi heater/water heater in it, all of which generate a fair amount of external heat, plus the rather vulnerable not too robust water drain down valve.
I decided the locker had limited further use as not really much space left, and I wasn't keen on restricting ventilation to the already warm running equipment when on site, so decided not to put anything further in it.
It would need some careful packing/additional partitioning to ensure none of the fixed equipment got damaged in transit by any stowed hard objects, so not even used then.
Thanks to John 4703 and Monty15 for your contributions.
I too have concerns about vulnerable items & ventilation though ours only gets appropriately light or soft things put in when on the move.
Cheers.
