I have just pick up a Bailey ranger GT60 520/4 2010.
Just one question when it is not on a 240v supply and I turn the main switch on should the battery meter work ??
Thank you for reading my post
yes, it tells you how much of a charge is in the battery, but dont rely on it for accuracy tho, they only give a rough idea of how much power is in the leisure battery

This may be a silly question, but has a 12v battery been fitted and if it has have you checked at the terminals to make sure that it is reading at least 12.8v?? Maybe the 12v needs to be switched on if still on joy.
Yes new battery and it is ok. The only switch that I know of is on the control panel and when it is on I can not get and lights to work and there is no reading on the battery meter.
Thank you for your help so far
I don't know that particular caravan but there is often a switch marked car/caravan, sometimes with an off position in the middle, this needs to be switched to caravan.
There is often an inline main battery fuse usually near where the battery cables enter the caravan. This may be blown, or as in my case the fuseholder may be corroded inside. That fooled me when I first bought my caravan. It was ok when I checked it before I bought it, but when I later tried it nothing worked. I checked the main battery fuse and that hadn't blown, but when I looked inside the fuseholder there was corrosion, so I replaced the whole thing with a 12 volt DC circuit breaker. That fixed it.
Just got back from the van and found the fault loose connection. The reason for it was I just pick the caravan from high bridge caravans Somerset they did not do the checks that they tell you they have because if they had they would of seen that fuse board etc was not fixed only one screw and that was not, screwed in so the whole unit was just rolling around. So much for safety checking.
Thank you all for your help

Make sure you mention it in writing i.e. email to Highbridge in case you have an issue at a later stage.

Thanks for letting us know, it usually turns out to be something simple.
