Good afternoon
I am looking for the correct door seal for a 2008 elddis avante club 544.
It is for gas locker at front of caravan.
The one on there is a universal one and leaks as its compressed in the corners and water builds up
I have tried spraying with lubricant and adjusting locks to fit closer, neither have worked.
So do any of you good people know where i can purchase the correct seal
regards to all.
My Lunar has the original seal and is not watertight! Either in the handbook, or on a sticker (I can't recall!) it states the locker is NOT watertight (obviously not intended to be, but only minor incursion), so you may be trying to achieve the impossible! That's not to say the problem can't be minimised though with a better/original type seal!
Google 'rubber seals automotive', it'll list a number of suppliers.
Highly unlikely the seal is anything special, or unique to Elddis, it'll be a 'stock' type.

Thankyou for the link, i am in contact with Phil at Seals Direct.
He has indicated the seal bulb needs to be on the top as it is on my caravan.
But the shape of the opening leads to the compression as I described previously.

I fully understand your explanation, they are not fully water tight.
I am getting rater large puddles in there. which is my concern.
I have fitted a waterproof covering over the floor to prevent further damage to the floor in the locker.
Good Evening All
I would request if anybody has a 2008 Elddis caravan, If they could post a picture of the seal in the front gas locker. ( if it only lets minimal water in ) I believe most Elddis caravan had the same front at this time. So i may look at the profile and try to purchase a seal that work better than the one currently on my caravan .

Shouldn't the gas locker have holes in the floor for ventilation in case of gas leaking. Water should also drain through them I would have thought.
However water can still settle on the floor inside the locker causing it to warp.

Could you possibly show a photo, or send a link to a photo of the pipe insulation across the locker please.
Many thanks
Sorry no photos, but it looks okay and does keep the water out of the locker.
