Never used one at all, but assuming most of these products are aimed at cars rather than specifically caravans, concern being caravan paint is incredibly thin compared to car paint, relatively easy to abrade through it if any gritty type muck on the van.
If your roof looks anything like mine, then every kind of muck imaginable to be found!
Plenty of bird droppings which can be full of quite large grit (birds ingest grit with their food and on purpose to aid digestion, and it passes into their droppings!), they generally need soaking with water to soften and then flush off rather than rub off to avoid risk of scratches.
I also have areas where lying water accumulates, that tends to be full of coarse dust/debris as well.
Can't say never use, as I've never tried them, but I'd be cautious and may consider only suitable for lightly soiled areas, that may rather defeat your objective!
Then there is using the product, many caravan roofs are not capable of taking your weight, so how do you reach into the middle? Standing on a ladder, I use a long handled wash brush and hose when washing my van, that seems hard enough task to reach all the roof, no chance of doing so by hand without virtually climbing on the roof, and mine is a relatively 'narrow' by modern van standards, 7ft3in wide van!
