Good afternoon everyone
I have bought a 1999 swift corniche 17/3
I am having a problem get water to the taps i have bought a new whale pump for the on board tank i have turned on the internal pump and with the pump unplugged the light comes on when i open the tap but with the pump plugged in the light wont come on and the pump doestnt work i would suggest its not the micro switch on the tap as the light goes on and off when i open and close the tap but as i said when the pump is plugged in i get no light or power to pump
Have you applied a 12v supply direct to the pump, to ensure the pump runs and isn't at fault itself? Its feasible a fault could prevent the lamp from coming on.
Hi thank you for your response the pump sas dead so has been replaced the microswitch in the kitchen gap was also change as was not working so we are all good on kitchen side of things i now have a new problem there is no power to the bathroom shower taps or toilet fuses are all fine
Suspicious that shower tap stopped working after the kitchen microswitch was replaced.
Normally the microswitches would be looped together in series so that any tap will switch the pump on. This means the shower tap should work (water flowing) if the kitchen tap is switched on, even if the shower tap microswitch is faulty.
It does sound as if the wires from the kitchen tap to the shower tap have been disconnected in some way from the kitchen tap end.
Just to clarify the bathroom tap as never worked if i put the kitchen tap on then open the taps in the bathroom i get water flow shut the kitchen tap and the bathroom taps stop
Yeah, I think your suspicions about a broken wire are correct. Do you read 12 volts on one of the wires with the tap closed? if so, looks like the neutral return is missing. You could always run a wire from the kitchen tap temporarily to bridge each in turn?
Dave.
