Both are ideal and both have the pit falls
1. Antenna system, whether on the roof or on a mast both need line of site of a tv transmitter, and can be tuned via the tv. I have had both, as our new caravan has a roof mounted antenna, whislt i preferred the mast type antenna attached the the A-frame/ Jockey wheel.
2. Satellite system, Again we have tried this and like No1 needs line of site of an open sky predominantly to the south east for Sky services, which then restricts where you pitch (Trees etc) . Plus you will need to carry a satellite reeiver box of which ever system you choose.
You can also with the antenna system if you dont want to put up an antenna, you can connect to the EHU bolllard where some have TV links also. This just needs about 20m of tv coxial cable and suitable fittings BNC or F type in think.
Hope this helps.
:-)
failing that its dvd's or listen to teh radio.
