Hi All
I have the following issue with my caravan.
This happened after being on ehu and someone tripped the electric in caravan next to us.
1.Alde heating doesn't seem to be working on electric or gas, can't hear the pump wherring like it used to.
2. Fridge is giving an error code of 12 but battery was fully charged, won't work on gas either.
Caravan was serviced a couple of months ago and engineer said the heating works on both electric and gas as the exhaust is working, we can get hot water on gas.
He also said I need a new board for fridge to get it working, they are discontinued and the cheapest one online is £500, don't really want to spend that as I am unsure that is the problem as it all stopped working at the same time, any fuses I may have missed?
Thanks
Kevin

My first feelings are that you have a 12v failure somewhere. Possibly battery not charging or the main 12v fuse blown. You will need to check the 12v system with a multimeter to ascertain just where you have power (the error code 12 on a fridge is normally the code for no 12v supply or very low voltage on the 12v circuit).

I am a bit concerned that you can get hot water on gas, but you state that the Alde system is not working on electric or gas. Unless you have a version of the Alde system that I have not seen, they normally have a single heating vessel with a jacket to keep the heating fluid separate from the hot water but using the same heating elements/gas burner.

Agree with birder. Both systems need a 12volt supply to operate. So you need to check the output from your charger and from your battery. It may be that the 230volt to your charger has failed thereby running your battery down. Are all RCDs in the "On" position? (The fridge does not work off the 12volt system but needs a 12volt supply to operate the fridge controls)
