As long as your battery is a lead acid one below 120AH it should be fine.

I have the very similar Aldi one which is actually connected to my 110ah leisure battery right now. I have been using it for years now and it keeps my battery very nicely charged. I would expect the Lidl one to do the same.

Keep the receipt. I've had two of them (use them for a motorbike), both failed after a couple of years. Bought a CTEK which is still working after 6 years use.

You were just unlucky. I've had my Aldi charger more than 6 years and it is still working fine. Thinking more about it, I think I've had it at least 10 years. I bought it soon after I bought my previous caravan, which is what I bought it for, and I bought that caravan in 2013.

I have had a similar Lidl charger for more than 10 years and it has been fine for my car and motorcycle batteries.
The only problem, which may or may not apply to the latest version, is that if the battery has dropped to less than 7 volts it will not charge. Whilst this will never apply to a car or motorcycle battery, a leisure battery could drop to this voltage in which case a conventional charger would be required for an initial charge.

I have both the lidl and the aldi chargers and they're ok even though they're knocking on a bit.
If a battery is too low for them to detect a voltage high enough to start them, as with most modern charges, using jump leads to healthy battery will trick them into working.

I'm sure there is nothing wrong with the Ctek chargers but they are VERY expensive compared to the Aldi/Lidl ones which seem to do the same job. I'm more than happy with my Aldi one anyway.
