Hi Everyone,

i'm fairly new to caravanning and have just booked a pitch for next week at searles in hunstanton??? a main serviced pitch water, waste & satilite tv can anyone advise me what i need to buy to use all these facilities. I've seen a carver water pipe that looks just like a hose pipe £35?? is this about right.

I could really do with some advice thanx.

There are two types of mains water feed that you can use.

One connects straight between the caravan inlet and mains pressure tap - it has a hefty regulator in it and a valve that takes the place of the pump and opens when the tap switches operate.    Personally I do not like these as you have mains pressure connected to your van and things *can* go wrong.

The other type is a small float valve that fits into the side of your existing AquaRoll and keeps it half full.     You get water into the 'van using the pump in the normal way.     This also has the advantage of giving you a supply of water even if the tap supply fails.     If, like us, you have a Water Hog and not the AquaRoll equivilent then you will be pleased to know that the AquaRoll float system fits this as well

Just on another point do u have to use the flat/food safe hose or if you only use a new hose for suppling the water is there any risks.

New hose pipe is generally food grade anyway - they just don't label it as such!     So long as you flush it through first as you should with any new pipe, it will be fine.
