Hi.

I have a problem with my cascade 2 , I have read some of the information that you have put on the uk campsite forum and think that you might be able to help me with my problem as there doesn’t seem to be very much information on this model on the

Internet.

My problem is a rather large leak of water coming from above the black box on the inside of my Elddis caravan. I currently have removed the insulation and I have also checked  all the water connections nothing seems to be coming from the pressure release valve, but seems to be coming from the water tank and cowling but due to the small area to work in I am not able to diagnose where the leak is coming from.

Thanks in advance and hope you can help.

Chris

My father had the same type of problem a couple of years ago, where water was leaking down the side of his heater. It turned out that the main heater body had a tiny hole in it,and of course with the pressure this caused quite a leak. If this is the problem the outer casing can be replaced for about £100. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem a few months ago. I found out is was leaking past the large "O" ring where the water tank fastens to the heater body, I drained the water out took the water tank off by unfastening the nut at the end of the tank. When i replaced the"0" ring i smeared vaseline round it before re-assembling it.I found it had leaked water into the black box and done some damage to the electrics and the red and green light came on all the time. I was quoted £100 for a new burner unit from my local caravan dealer but i managed to find somebody that new about electronics and he repaired it for me the parts cost 18p +labour.

good luck with it

Brian
