Sounds like you need to check the pump to me , could you borrow one ? or some how test yours away from the caravan to see what sort of pressure it's producing .

I am using one of them whale thingy's and it worked fine whilst we were on hols and on one day it just sort of didn't so I bought a new whale pump connected it and there appears to be a decent amount of water pressure being dispersed?

I am not convinced it is the pump? as the new one is as powerful as the old one?

The tap is one of them Elegance ones?

Ah i see , so it's not the water pump , if your getting a good flow from the tap when you use a hose , but not when you use the pump , do you have a good power supply to the pump ? 12volts ? , can't think of what else it could be m8 , maybe the tap ?

I am sure it is the tap...... but then again what could cause the blockage? especially since it flowed luvverly when I applied a little pressure???

Think I will resolve by buying a new bucket  and hand pump!!!!1

hi 462i have been thinking about this today because i had a problem on the old bailey with this tap and had remove the tap for repair.if you remove the blanks (6) at each corner of the unit with sharp point, there are four screws under them.remove the 4 screws, lift out carefully and the hoses will come with the tap.one of the hoses is red, thats the hot one,tie string to the hoses then you dont lose them and fix to another point inside the van.the hose is fixed with a screw clip at position (15),undo this clip and remove hose, have someone switch on on the pump by the main switch for 2 seconds at your command,if water flows out rapid you will know the hot tap is faulty or blocked, and can replace or repair it ..when refitting do not over tighten the screws this will enlarge the holes.

Could be the same as an air lock that you sometimes get in a domestic system but the pipework would have to have some loops I would have thought for that to be the case.
