I tend to agree Slimjim, although I have heard tales of folks seeing lowlife approaching unattended caravans at Service Areas and being scared off.
As a one parent family, I would rather leave the caravan unattended than the children. I do try to park where we can see it and don't spend longer than necessary inside.
With the motorhome we used to have it wasn't a problem as the dogs were sat inside it and wouldn't have let anyone in. Maybe I should move them into the caravan while we use the facilities, instead of leaving them in the car boot.
