We had a Fleetwood Gardland which had a damp patch appear in the ceiling over the winter.  Our "Caravan Doctor" took a look and it turned out that the mastic had perished on the roof light.  He resealed it, however the ceiling was still marked, rather like a water stain.  It dried out but still left the mark, apart from painting their is nothing else you can do.  Out Caravan Doctor said we could paint the ceiling but to be honest when you sell the van it looks more like you are trying to cover something up.  We did sell our Fleetwood and pointed out the colour stain to the buyer, they were more than happy with the repair as we had the invoice for the repair as proof that the fault was rectified.
