Today we left our caravan at the dealers for its warranty repair of the delaminated floor. When the dealer told us the floor needed repairing at its service back in April we didn't expect that it would take from then until now to finally get the caravan in. In the first place the dealer never made contact to explain the delay. So I e-mailed Avondale. They say that yes the job would go ahead but they had had difficulty in obtaining a colour match for the carpet, please wait a further 10 days for it to be supplied. That was back in June. Then we received a letter of apology from Avondale. They confirmed our dealer now had the parts for the job. Yes well the dealer did make contact in late September. We went to see them and the van was booked in for this week. The thing is now the dealers are saying that they hadn't been waiting for a carpet just the adhesive or what ever it is they use to fix the floor and that they'll be putting the old carpet back down! What on earth is going on? After all why would a dealer have to wait so long for some glue? Who's telling the porkies here? Avondale or our dealer? This dealer by the way likes to make you think that they're an approved workshop by displaying a notice that looks like they are.
