My Damp meter is made buy a company called Rapidtest and it cost in the catalogue I bought it from around £20 (although I got a discount and actually paid £12!)... it has proved a valuable tool indeed and I'm now probably a little paranoid about things and am checking my van every few weeks.. however for such a small amount a you could end up saving hundreds maybe even thousands of pounds.
Like Kparsfan I must admit that I too am a little wary of Dealers & the next time I purchase a new van I'll be looking armed with a Damp Meter!

thanks for advice ,but it is still under extended warrantee, will other dealers just check for damp?
They should be able to do just a damp test , though you will have to pay for it to be done . As others have said , you could buy your own damp meter ( tester ) and check it yourself , then if you find damp you can go back to your dealers and ask them to repair it .
