I asked a simiiar question a while ago but didn`t really get a conclusive answer. The solutions containing formaldahyde appear to be more effective but there are enviromental issues and some manufacturers are phasing it out. Try making the solutions stronger and if you find something really effective please let me know.
Hello Wanner. We always used Thetford toilet fluid(blue). The early version(still got some), was different than the stuff you can buy now. Since the swap, there is a definite difference in the smell of the "toilet contents"...something to do with the presence of formaldehyde?? I then decided to empty the toilet every other day and it was definetly better. We now use the Blue Diamond toilet fluid(concentrate), which has a higher amount of formaldehyde...much better, although I still empty toilet more frequently.

Don't have a problem with ours, but we do tend to save our jobbies for the site/local pub/supermarket or anywhere else loos if at all possible.
That's nice Caz, we save ours for their toilets!

Hi wanner, if you can get the loo steam cleaned then fill it and leave to soak so it's clean to start with, The only way it can smell is from what is going into it? and if you are using the correct ratio of chemicals then you need to lay off the curries etc...
