We're considering buying an Adria Altea 542UK but I know it doesn't have a battery or charger, What I would like to know, is, if you don't get electric on site, what won't work? Obviously the lights, but what about the fridge & water heater, can they be run off gas? and presumably the water pump doesn't work without electrics. If there is anything else I'd like to know aswell, please.

Sooze.

Hi soozie, we stay on sites without electric and run the lights (battery) fridge and water heater on gas.

If you have no electric you will need to have a battery otherwise you will be left with only gas powered items.

No lights and no water pump.

Water heater depends. Some are on electric, some on gas.
Fridge will work on gas, and basic gas-heating too of course. Electric fans may not work, therefore maybe the electric part of the air-heating system of ultra-heat like systems may not work.

Normally also in and Adria some place will be reserved to place a battery. It's better to do so, at least lighting and waterpump will work than.
Whether you want an on board charger, genny, solar panels or charge in the boot of your car is a different choice.
