Can anyone recommend a good caravan cleaner other then Fenwicks? I'm not saying Fenwicks is no good, it has indeed brought up a good shine on the caravan and on the side panels i can almost see my reflection it is so clean, but the roof still has a dark grey tinge even after scrubbing with neat liquid from years of dirt and neglect, - I have been told of a paste that gets rid of such ground-in staining, does anyone know about this?
A friend of mine uses CIF cream (used to be JIF) to remove stubbon marks on his van, he has used it for years and its had no bad effects he just puts it on with a wet sponge and rinses off, but I have never tried it.
I use Autoglym Caravan & Motorhome Cleaner, then ( if needed) Autoglym Paint Renovator (not as abrasive as T CUT ) and the finish off with Autoglym Super Resin Polish and then if i'm feeling really energetic Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection
Silky is ok but beware if the paint on your van is thin then it will be non existant after using silky, we did and I had to sanpaper the roof and then repaint it all as the tin was bare in the areas we had tried silky on. Anything that is abrasive will remove not only the dirt but the paint as well, T-cut would be as bad if not worse than silky. We used Fenwicks and it cleaned up the roof no problem, hadn't been done since I painted it with dulux gloss about 7 years ago, only bit the tin shows through is on the front where I managed to catch some low branches travelling over the A66, really must get the old brush out this year and patch it up!
