We Have just had our annual service done. The damp readings are showing between 25-55% for the floor, what would you expect to be "normal readings" and also what type of damage could be expected  to be caused from such readings. The van is under warranty but I would like to have a little back ground information (so I sound as if I know what im talking about)  before I contact the dealers to discuss the issue.Any advice appreciated. Thanks to all, I should have mentioned that first time out from dealers last year (used van we purchased) the bathroom hot water hose wasn't connected we did know until we came back from the showers and found the bathroom like a sauna. The deaker did assure us that the van had been dried out completely! My main connern is as to how much damage the high readings could cause to the floor in long term damage. To add to the woes we cannot get the van booked into the delears until May.Sorry if I've mis lead anyone

It's hard to say why you have a damp floor , have you been in the caravan with wet feet ? or have a leak somewhere ? As to the readings far as i know 20% and up is considered to be the start of damp problems , but could easliy be explained by an accidental water spill etc , where abouts is the highest readings .

It seems strange that the floor should read so high if there is no water ingress elsewhere, unless you drove through a flood or have recently washed the carpet?

Hi welcome to the site, as everyone has said it seem odd that the floor is reading high when everywhere else is o.k. The place that we have ours tested at say that they don't consider readings of up to 25% anything to worry about but 55% is quite a worry. What I can't understand is if it's under warranty whyarn't they looking into it?

I hope you can get it sorted without too much hassle.

Using a Protimeter, damp is measured from 6% to 28%.  6% would be regarded as bone dry where 28% would be saturated. The range from 6% to 16% would be regarded as normal, anything over 16% should be looked at. Anything over 20% requires immediate attention. Your figures of 22%-55% are showing high levels of water ingress.
