went out to flush the water system through with cleaning stuff, opened the taps in the toilet was waiting for the water to come through the shower head, then all of sudden the water was coming out from some where eles, the shower hose had come off (maybe pulled off) from the fiting behind the sink, water all behind the sink fiting .next thing you know it's coming out underneath the caravan, from the floor. OH has taken off the sink fiting to get behind to fit the hose pipe back, that will have to be all sealed, the wall was wet and were the waater has gone down to the floor it's also coming through the water tray seals. what a nightmare we are going away tomorrow this  is our first van we thought we was doing well till now. we would of never seen this coming though. really fed up now. any advice on this really welcomed. alls i know that the floor might be wet and you can see the floor underneath the van slightly wet.  thanks for listening to me go on. sparkle.

Sounds a real possibilty. Do you have a water filter in the water line in the caravan. Mine burst over Christmas. But with prompt action no lasting damage. If you can get the caravan plugged into mains get a small fan heater on the van going continuously, poiting towards any damp spots. Its slow constant damp that causes problems.

hi these hoses used to split regular on our old bailey.it splits ether behind the shower head or the other end that connects to the taps.if this is so you can buy a fitting kit(you cut a bit of pipe off and fit new fittings) for £5 (2 in a pack) from most caravan shops,it contains a new screw on fitting and a dowl to go into the pipe itself.the shower heads are very expensive so i now remove ours at winter time.[:o)]

Just a thought for the future - you must winterize your van in future otherwise you will get the same problem again come next spring. There is a post on winterising hopefully the webmaster may come to your aid

I think a hair dryer is invaluable in these situations - we had a little accident when i slipped when filling the flush in the thetford - the water got under the toilet and seeped out - annoying but a lesson learned. We used the wives hair dryer and it did the trick!! Dont worry too much - just get the heaters on for a couple of hours for what you cant see.

OOPs sorry. Cat stood on keyboard and posted reply ( Clever cat that!!!!)  We struggled for ages to remove our water filter (we leave it out over winter and fit a new one in the spring). If you play a hairdryer over the water filter housing inside the caravan, it makes the housing expand a little and the filter will come out easier. When you fit a new one, put vegetable oil or vasline around the seal.
