Hi there,

If i remember right, you have to quickly turn the igniter button on the bottom panel to light the pilot at the back...... it's a bit like trying to strike a flint, takes a bit of fiddling but after you get the knack it's simple enough.....you should see the 'pilot light' at the far back on the left when it's lit ok.

Hope that helps a bit.

Hi ken

have you tried to see if the gas is coming throu to the fridge and make sure that the lighter is working. there is normale a cover on the outside you can unscrew to see the back of the fridge to smell the gas is there. If it lights but still dose not work another trick is to take the fridge out off the hole its in and turn it upside slowley as somtimes the chemacals seprate after it has stood for time

We had one of these and the flint had 'expired'.  We couldn't find a replacement so we used a long barbeque lighter to ignite the fridge.  It was a bit fiddly but it worked.

We also had to remove the fridge at one stage and turn it upside down.

Once the fridge was working, it was very efficient.  My daughter has it now and it is still working well.

The small round knob has to be pressed and held while you are igniting.  The 'pointier' knob with grooves on it has to be twisted to cause the spark while the other knob is held down..  If the flint has worn out, you will get blisters on your thumb and finger.  You will need to lie on the floor to see if the 'pilot' is lit.

Excellent news.  Just watch your milk cos it will be frozen if you turn the fridge up too high.
