What a coincidence. I have just fitted fridge fans this morning, I have fitted them to every van I have had so far and just had not got arround to fitting them to my new one yet. The whole job took 45 mins and cost £7.00 in bits. The difference it makes is quite astounding. The problem is caused by the fridge making heat as it works the hot air is trapped behind the fridge ( you will feel the worksurface getting hot over the fridge). The fridge then works harder because it thinks its warmer, this produces more heat etc, etc. Before I fited fridge fans we had an instance where the fridge turned into an oven it started to get hot instead of cold. The fans are fitted behind the top vent and when switched on suck the air out of the compartment from the top. The air is replaced by cooler air from below causing a flow of air behind the fridge to cool the fins of the fridge. I have a few pics of the job if anyone needs them email me tpace at blueyonder.co.uk
