Can anyone tell me if the battery automatically charge when hooked up? Also, should my TV work off the battery? i can only get the lights to work.

HI NIck, If your telly is a 240v telly, then no it wont work of the car battery, you would have to be hooked up on site to 240volts the battery should be charging when hooked up to the car, is this what you mean?

Depends on you system, Does it have a built in battery charger? if it does it should keep your battery topped up while on EHU.
As for you TV is it 12 Volts? you can't go wrong the 230v and 12 volts plugs/sockets are completely different.

If you do have a charger there may be a switch you need to turn on to activate it.
