hi gang. question time again. cant get any hot water or any other kind of water out the hot taps in this bl##dy caravan........cold taps all work fine, plenty pressure, just fitted a new pump tonight. water is getting into the heater because if i remove the drain plug it stands out of there....took the hot pipe off the top of the heater and can blow through the taps quite easily so no blockage there. does the heater need to be working on gas or electric to allow the water to flow through it? getting just a bit annoyed now as its nearly the weekend and we are supposed to be going away with it on friday. leaves me one day .....tomorrow..... water system seems to be a pressure system cant see any wires to the taps and cant hear any clicking of microswitches....wired new pump up to work on pressure and it seems to be doing the right thing. switches off and on with the taps. help please before i get really pi###d off and go get a gallon of petrol........

hi could be a non return valve stuck in the heater. fix up the pump as normal with a full water barrel.remove the drain plug outside on the carver.if the non return is faulty very little water will come out when operated by someone on the inside turning the pump switch on.[:o)] next question is (and i have done it)is the drain still open?

Had the same problem.

Be careful removing the old valve. Mine broke off and left the thread in the heater :(

again sorry to keep on. but when i connect up my water, the pump runs till every thing is full, all water coming out cold taps, no air, switch off taps and pump stops. turn on hot tap and nothing happens. if i was now to remove the drain from the heater the water would stand out of it like it is under pressure,(pump is off) that would suggest to me that the water is getting into the heater fine but its not getting through to the hot water side of things does that still sound like a non return valve problem ?

doing my head in this lot.....

without using to much pressure could you not open the hot taps a back flush through the drain plug.there could be a blockage in the hot system.
