I have a water porter (the cheap version of water container) and cant seem to get it properly empty, I always have to sterilise it before i use it, which is a pain in the a*** to say the least, so i now put a drop of milton in before i leave site.
Is the aquaroll/water hog of a better design so as to completly empty after use, and can i get any suggestions as to keeping it fresh afer use/in storage.
Could you leave the filler lid off to let the remaining water evaporate? You could fix a bit of gauze or something over the neck with a rubber band to keep creepy crawlies out...
I do leave the top off, but it always has a bit of water left in it, toomuch to evaporate quickly, if the aqua roll has a bit in it, its not worth the other 10-15quid to get one of those instead.
The suggestion i did try with the OH was to use the caravan more!!

I have heard that if you use Milton, it leaves a bad taste in the water, is that true??
I've heard this too a few times, but thousands of new mothers have their babies bottles soaking in the stuff as we speak, so it can't be that bad really can it? - We've never been able to 'taste it'.
We have found that campsites around the country have different tasting water due to the different amount of chemicals used by water companies, so maybe that is what people are tasting and blaming it on the milton?
there is no side opening on the water porter, just a top one, and the whole lot is blow moulded, so there is always a small amount left in it, looks like i will keep with the drop of milton then (or asdas own brand equivilent) i have never noticed a taint to the water, i just rinse it well
