did you take the whole front inside off above and below the window, how easy is it to get the wood off the bottom half the bit with the 2 pockets in ?
hi we did up to the top of the roof and to the bottom as you can see in the photo and we removed the fixed window http://www.alanparkers.dsl.pipex.com/caroles_page.htm the lower part with the pockets had to be removed very carefully as this was our templet,we had a bit of trouble removing it, the two pockets where held in place with four stapples, each side. The pockets then pulled out, in the gap behind the board there was two screws which went through from the front, through the board into the frame work of the seats. i could not undo the screws so as i was replacing the front boarding i chizzled throw the screws between the seating area and the board. once this was done out it came. be careful as i had electric cables running through the right hand side. do not smash this up as you need this as your templet. on the back of this board there is wooden batterning and insulation. also behind the boards there is fiber glass insulation as well. we took lots of photos and kept samples of the wood i removed as some of them was shaped wood as ours had a bowed window.
please also click on my home page this is alan parkers home page this has step by step on doing damp, and other repair work.
