Okay you guys heres a question  that is giving us some debate. We are considering laminating the floor in our caravan, seems a much more better way of keeping it squeaky clean than a grubby carpet, but we have been told that this is a bad idea as it holds the moisture! Okay you professionals, is this true?

i had this Question a few weeks back there was lots of points of view like when you go onto grass that has been cut, mud, my head was swimming, so in the end i went for carpet as it was warm and i could just hoover it.

Some new vans have removeable carpets with laminate look vinyl underneath

Laminate is not a viable proposition. It is too hard to fit and not durable enough.

Good quality vinyl fitted with the edges sealed and edged removable carpet sections could then be dropped in on top.

We had vinyl plsnk fitted before the summer. Looks like wood flooring, is light and completely waterproof. Best thing I ever did. While we were in Spain I just swept it out and when I came back I swept it mopped it and it was like new again.
