Just a foot note to this. We normally carry a cylinder of each. This last weekend in Sandringham we only had the butane with us, and on Saturday morning although we could still use the hob to cook breakfast, the pressure was noticeably lower and in fact was too low for the Truma gas heater to stay operating. (We used the heater Friday evening and again Saturday evening and it was fine).
There was a frost around, so lesson learned for us - don't forget to put the propane in!
