How do i transfer water from the outside barrel to the on board water tank.

Its on a shift concerer 640, the panel has a water switch saying. INT EX . it has a combined battery and water gauge if that helps. I tried putting the switch to external then turning on a tap to see if it filled the on board tank but it just comes out of tap, am i missing somthing.

Hi Curly, The onboard water tanks are filled by using an external pump which is supplied with the van. Fill the aquaroll and place it beside the water tank inlet point. Connect the pump connector into the small 12v socket located beside the water tank filler hole, drop the pump into the aquaroll  and switch the pump to EX(ternal).This should fill the tank from the aquaroll. If there is no external pump with the van you can purchase them from a good caravan dealer....Floyd.

try looking near the inboard tank there is normally a selection of taps that also need to be altered to fill the inboard tank / supply taps from external tank / supply taps from internal tank etc. ........Mark
