Most modern caravan charging systems have a "float" facility built into their specification. This means that when the battery is close to fully charged, the system keeps it in that state without overcharging it. Most of the time, when my van is parked at home, the battery is on charge. Sometimes I will switch off the charging for a couple of "rest days", but otherwise it is continuous. My current (no pun intended) battery was transferred from my previous van, and is now about 4 years old. It has always been subjected to this procedure. It is a 110A/hr battery, because it has to deal with running the mover.
My battery box is sealed from the interior, and I thought this was always the case. However, I would be concerned by an overheating battery, and would check/get checked the battery and the charging system.
Bertie.
