Hi

I was thinking of installing a small (3-400 watt) panel heater to take the chill off our bathroom, does anyone know of one that is waterproof enough to go in the bathroom of our van?

Is this for a caravan or the house? Dimplex make a range of oil filled towel radiators of fairly low wattage.

Yes it is to go in the van not house, thanks for the link Terry it is exactly what i am looking for but too large. The table is stored in the bathroom & takes up most of the wall space, i have only got an area of around 50 x 50 cm to fit it.

Someone somewhere must do a smaller one!

If your "bathroom" also has a shower I would definately  not fit any mains heater in there... far too dangerous, and from the point of electrical regulations, illegal too! (even if you don't have a shower)

The only safe way is to fit a vent tube which blows warm air in.

I'm considering doing this on mine by installing a low rpm 12v fan to the knockouts at the back of the carver heater and connecting something like a tumble drier vent pipe from this to a grill in the bathroom wall.

To provide low level background heating for the winter I've bought a Dimplex 180 watt Tube Heater (screwfix, less than £20)
just enough to keep the van dry and frost-free.

although i dont think id fancy it, and TBH ive never seen an IPX5 rated heater (not to say they dont exist though)
