Hi there,

Does anyone know where I can hold hold of some Spray n Rub. I gather it is very good at cleaning caravan upholstery and carpets. The ukcampsite link doesn't seem to work.

If not, can anybody recommend an alternative.

Cheers.

Michael,

Thanks. The sprays I get from Halfords for the car work OK, but not brilliant. Not too sure I'd want to do the whole caravan with it. I had a look in the same caravan as mine, same year, at a dealers on Sunday. The upholstery and carpet looked like new. It looked immaculate. There is always a chance the caravan was unused, however, a few digs here and there suggest otherwise.

Perhaps Spray n Rub has gone to the wall.

The best way is to hire a machine from one of the supermarkets . In my view the best machine for this is the Rug Doctor which Morrisons and Sainsburys hire out. These extract the dirt . Other stuff just moves it around a bit except when you spend hours blotting it up.Or you could pay someone like me to do it for you with an even better extraction machine !

Hi Andyorp. For 'spot' cleaning you can't beat Ambersil Foaming Cleaner. I use it for work to clean copiers and printers. However, it works wonders on carpets and upholstery aswell as any other surface you can mention.

I bought a Vax from B&Q for about 120 quid. It has an attachment for upholstery too. I find it a Godsend for cleaning the caravan. So if you're gonna use the 'van quite a bit, and you have kids and/or pets I would definately recommend one. It has more than paid for itself.
