Can anybody suggest a cheaper alternative to an aquaroll and one of those flat waste containers...? After buying the caravan we are a bit broke but are keen to have our first trip away. Have considered Ebay etc, but they seem to go for almost what they cost new...!!!
Hi For waste water you could use, (and lots of peeps do) a bucket, as for fresh water there are lots of suitable containers, all the caravan dealers sell them for not a lot of money.
You could try caravan shops , i'm sure they sell large plastic water containers ( look like a opaque jerry can ) , waste containers ( square black container with red caps ) that are cheap . Or ask them if they have any secondhand aquarolls .
Our local caravan shop/breakers sells 2nd hand stuff maybe look in your local yellow pages. Or try putting a wanted ad on here of the free papers or even freecycle you may just get lucky. I wish you luck
Try your local chippy or chinese takeaway...I believe they have cooking oil delivered in bulk in large plastic containers. They may give you a couple if you ask nicely...
Im not sure if this will help but we sell 25 litres plastic containers. They are black and very sturdy. We also have buckets 1 litre, 2 1/2 litre, 5 litre and 10 litre.
If these are any use to you I can send them to you Free of Charge.
Let me know if I can help
Happy Caravanning

or you could do the same as the scrote who visited my mate last summer - he had his water and waste container and leccy cable nicked while he was out for the day. Can't believe the cheek of some people.
when we started caravanning, we used the plastic containers to carry the water in, but we found that when they was filled up they was rather heavy to move about and in the end resorted to buying a aquaroll second hand from a caravan breaker which we got at a very good price.
