I have a carver fanmaster 3000S heater and at the moment it only blows out cold air, is there a reset switch on the back of the unit, I have looked under the black plastic cover but can't see anything but a circuit board.
Hi, look in the handbook and it should show you the position of the reset button (fairly difficult to locate but it is there, had the same problem with one of my vans)
I have looked for the handbook, but there isn't one, the only thing I can find is the fanmaster user's instructions and installation instructions and neither mention a reset button
The only thing it relates to is and I quote from the book
"If all outlets are closed or blocked the over-heat trip will operate and switch-off the heating elements. if this happens, your thermal cut-off will operate, this is a single operation device and will be required to be replaced by a competent person"
That's probably because the Fanmaster is on the back of an early (95) 3000S and has a 'thermal fuse' instead, however the finger of plastic that would press a reset button is still there but not cut out so will not move. I tell people its over the back of the fire, 9ins down and 7ins back from the top left hand corner of the fire, starting from where the fire front touches the woodwork.
If yours is fused and it's blown then the solution is a reset upgrade kit, you can get these from me
Thanks for replying Gary, what is the cost of the reset upgrade kit?
When I took off the plastic cover at the back of the fanmaster I could only see a circuit board, and no sign of any sort of switch, fixed or otherwise!

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my troubles. Can I get in touch with Gary direct or would I have to wait?
Not bad you only waited a minute!! as for ringing the numbers on the left under 'outfit' and I'll tell you how to get the reset
