Hi
how long are you waiting for the water to come through? Remember that the water heater has to fill before water will come through the taps, and that can take a minute or two.

hi you need to wait with the hot tap open for some time before the air is removed.it sounds like a faulty non return valve though as wizard says.[:o)]

one way to check for a faulty NRV is to take out the drain plug outside on the heater cowl, where you drain for empty.plug in the pump as per normal with a full water barrel.get someone to turn on the pump inside for a few seconds, water should gush out of the drain,if not it means no water is getting into the boiler itself past the non return valve.[:o)]number 10 on dia. stowford farm///

The picture is of the pressure adjusting screw which is inside where the pump fitting enters the van.  You will only have one of these to adjust if your water system is pressure operated.  The white wire is power to the pump, the blue is a water pipe.

The pump lifts the cold water from the water container outside and pumps it into the van.  The cold water pipe has 2 branches.  One goes to the cold water taps, the other feeds the hot water tank.  Once the tank is filled and heated, if a hot tap is opened the pump will operate and pump hot water to the tap and replace the water used with fresh water from outside.   It's a bit like a hot water cylinder in your house that is fed from a cold water header tank, except that in the van a pump is required to move the water.

No there is no relay.   Sounds like you may have a faulty non return valve if you cannot get hot water.
