Tried to get my Van serviced the other day, first rang Barrons at Culcheth, they wouldn`t do it because I`d not bought my Van from them and they were `prioritising` their customers.
Then I tried a large company near Northwich, their Gold service was £188 but if it needed GREASING it would be about £200,at that point my OH shouted "put the phone down now,the robbing ***********"
A service without grease, what do they do for £200?
hi ring, dave at preston.he does mobile.met him at gmex.01772 619082.he says he does within 200 mile. he was selling the powrtouch mover,he fits them too.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
ours will be £170 full service including a free damp test at reads caravans blackburn.on the board it said a damp test was £30 if done separate. booked in for end of march.

if you can get a hold of a northwich buy and sell there's a guy listed with 20 years experience. mark, (sorry cant remember his surname and am at work just now so unable to check). he worked for harringtons and has now started out on his own.he's located 2 minutes drive from harringtons and much cheeper.did some work for me last week and i will now use in future.if i remember tomorrow i'll dig out his number for you.
Mine goes in for service today, £178 plus parts(one shot hub nut x 2),plus VAT. would like to get service cheaper but Bailey insist on authorized dealer or warranty void.
Anyone know a mobile service engineer in South West Wales, authorised to do Avondale? I've got a number of a company in Cross Hands who charge about £150 plus VAT plus any parts, but they're not mobile so I'd have to tow the van there and back to the site after (bit of a potch).
Mind you, that's better than I thought - I thought I had to take it back to the dealer we bought it off (Forest of Dean Caravans) because everyone had a different answer, its a 3 1/2 hour trek up the M4 I can do without! I rang Blazers who said it doesn't matter where you bought it - like a car. Yippee!
