hi sounds like you have a pipe come off or split, the only other thing i can think of is the melt plug on the underside has melted.see

www.stowford.co.uk  faultfinder/carver  or try to get gary, hes the man for water heaters.check the washer on the plug outside too.

Hi,

We had this problem on our 1st outing. More water was coming out of the connection to the caravan then through the tap. On inspection our Whale connector plug had lost its seal where the pipes connects to it and it was just pouring out. I had to get a new whale pump. People said that I wasnt pushing it in far enough but this just wasnt the case, so, I took it apart and foung that the silicone sealant had come away, hence the leak. Its worth a look.

Hope this helps

Two possible sources of a leak outside apart from the drain bung and a leak inside coming outside!!

In the top left corner you have the 'quick drain valve', newer models have a screwdriver slot and a quarter turn in any direction opens and shuts it. Other than that, it could be cracked where it screws into the heat exchanger and it's leaking from there.

The other place is in the middle above the burner, this is a 'fusible plug' , it's designed to melt and flood the burner with water if things get to hot. All you will see of it is a 13mm nut head set in the fins above the burner and the problem is they can leak purely due to age.
