Great news.......it had to happen.

Decathlon have re-introduced the Base Seconds Full, and more recently the base Seconds 4.1.

The Base Seconds full was discontinued back in 2009...so I stepped in bought one. Again they decided to discontinue the 4.1..this time I payed full 'whack'.

Bless you Decathlon......the combination of these two tents is perfect. We use the 4.1 for the weekends in the UK, and for longer stays (mainly in Europe) we use both the Base Seconds Full and the 4.1.

Fabulous tents although with lower windows and double access entry access the 4.1 would be perfect.

So all those people who admire our encampment, they too can do it in style.

(my husband goes crazy with me because I prefer these tenst to the HUGE 3 bedroom tent we bought and only used on one trip.........£500...ouch !!!!

Decathelon bought back the Quechua Base Full in March last year!

Ali, they did indeed......its the 4.1 that they have now re-introduced.I t just shows that it is worth the effort to give Decathlon feedback. I wrote to the HQ in France ...and they replied.

We first saw a'base on a campsite in Savigny Les Beaune in 2007, it...took me2 yrs to buy one  and now it is ourfirst option when we go away. the Vango and the Hartford Exel are packed .up in the spare room. At world Mounatin Biking championship  in Dalby Forest the French team (La Pierre) were all in base seconds full with 4.1 combo's  

Yes I love Quechua BS!  I link the 4.2 and BS Standard.  I bought a second BS Standard when they were reduced and would like to twin that too.  Might one day when I find a campsite that won't  charge me extra!

I looked at the 4.2 but really wanted beige to match the BS.

I got into a debacle about charges last year, so I'm not going there again...grrrrrr. Fortunately we tend to take the combination to France where they always 'rent' a pitch. We only use the 4.1 for a weekend in the UK.

Just had a look at the Quechua website...and it doesn't seem to show any of the large pop-up "base" units?...

Edit: Ignore me....I've just found 'em on the decathlon site...

They're all under 'family pop ups'...never been the easieste website to navigate.

Of course they do a HUGE base, that sfar too big forour needs, and to be honest I'm not sure it would  fit in our car once we have the mountain bikes in (scenic). We just fit the 4.1 & the BSFull between the top tubes on the MTB's.

I would love to get a BS full, but can't justify the money at the moment

They also brought out a new Seconds family 4.1 with the Seconds family 4.2 I think to replace the old ones, the new versions are much easier to fold as its concertina and straight to mickey ears instead of having to fold corners into the middle etc. They have been out since early 2011 too, I had the new 4.2 till recently, the new ones also have the flap in the groundsheet at the front to put flat for easier access, was handy for my wheelchair.
