Hi Tikit

I had a great time. It was abit cold at about 4.00am but I put on a woolly hat and I was fine, also had EHU with heater.  I can't believe it's took me all this time to discover camping.

Unfortunately we won't be able to go again until end of June when we are hoping to go to ardgartan (I think), but the experience has given us the opportunity to find out what we need and what we don't need.

Just seeing my son zonk out due to the outdoor air made it worthwhile! Then again, we zonked out aswell!!

Vicksies

PS our instructions attached to the bag didn't have a stage 4 either.

Hi Jarvee,

By the pole going through the centre of the roof do you mean the black fibreglass one?

It rests on the inside poles and holds the middle section of the roof taut.

Sorry can't help with the lopsided part of the query, it's not a problem I've encountered.

Hi All,

Thanks to this forum I have just purchased a Cedar Creek as my first tent, I purchased it in store from Millets and only paid £125 which is a bargain compared to the on line prices.  As others have stated it will go through the till at £187 but show them the in store book and you will get it for the lower price, however the cashier will probably have to 'ask the manager' first.

I pitched it in the garden this afternoon and it went up in about 45mins (not bad for a fist try) and back in the bag easily, it felt very spacious and it is ideal if you are tall as you can stand up anywhere in the tent. The downside to this is that you might strugle to put up the inner frame and hang the bedrooms if you are not very tall.

For anyone that is looking to purchase one I eventually found them in stock at the main branch in Ipswich (Carr St.), when I arrived they had 4 in stock (now only 3!) which if unusual as most stores I tried did not have any.

After weeks of dithering I finally got to Millets today and made my purchase of the Cedar Creek. £124.99 what a bargain.
Last summer we had the Indianna 8, huge tent just for me and son so this I hope will be our perfect tent.
Can't wait to put it up in the garden tomorrow and then off camping next week.
I'm gonna print of the helpful instructions from tikit so watch this space.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful hints and tips.

Hi All

Please could anyone give me advice on which is the best way to put the center roof pole in. As i have tried putting it in first but it felt to heavy to lift, so i put it in last with the help of a chair. Any help welcome. Ps is it normal for the ground sheet not to sit flush with ground.

Thanks

Hi - can somebody tell me if this has a sewn in groundsheet? The photos look like it does, but none of the websites mention it and Coleman don't have it on their site.

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes the groundsheet is sewn in and comes up the sides about 6 inches.

You're unlikely to be able to put it up on your own, you need help. One of you needs to be reasonably tall.
