We haven't really got anywhere :( that's why we're going 'away' - about 15 miles LOL ) although 'Little-Un' spied a good place to put up a tent - near our local tesco :D :D I'm sure the local kids would all want to join in but not sure how much kit would be left after :D :D
If it's anything like the Vangos we saw thursday it'll be great :)
Where are you ? Some shops have sites for you to visit and loads of tents put up ready :)

We're in Southampton. We have a local camp shop 10 minutes walk away & I'm up there once a week!! From what I can see the Wyoming 8 seems to be Millets version of the Vango Oregon 800 although the dimensions are slightly different and the Wyoming looks nicer. Hubby asked in Winchester Millets about the Wyoming but they didn't have one in stock. Just wondering if the bedrooms have dividers? Still really taken with the Vango Aspen so I'm torn between grabbing a bargain (free cooker) or getting something along the same lines as my ancient frame tent but more modern which the aspen seems to be.
we just brought the wyoming 8 at millets, they gave us the impression the end bedrooms which sleep 4 are divided in to 2 - to sleep 2x2 - can anyone shed any light on this?
Well I couldn't wait a whole 6 days to be trying out our NEW tent, so checked the weather reports and today looked good so we took the tent to a flat green space (not by tescos as it's on a main road and we didn't want to cause a crash :D ) and put it up. Fly sheet went up really easy but took us a good 45 mins, but then we didn't know what was what or where it went It looks really lovely, the sort of tent I always drool after :D Didn't have time to put the bedrooms in as it started to rain so we quickly dismantled it and bunged it in the car boot LOL as it looked to rain really badly and we didn't want it soaked for the sake of a put up and down
2 hours later tent went on the line (and all over the patio) while we wiped it dry and aired it. Can't wait to use it now :)
It has spare fine material/mesh. Think it might be bedroom dividers?? but not certain ?? (OH says yes tho - but what does he know? ;) )
Ground sheet is separate (but I prefer that) and plenty of ventilation in sensible places, largest vents can be regulated by velcro fastening.
That sounds really good. We had a look at the oregon 800 up the road because thats the closest in design although looking at the pictures there are some differences. Bedrooms aren't really an issue for us because there'll probably only be three of us using it regularly.
So......... Hubby didn't want to miss out on the reduced price & the free cooker..........he made me order it online......getting the tent, windbreak & of course cooker!!

I spent about 2 hours in one at the millets camping show at himley, dudley. Then the in-laws bought one.
Its a fantastic tent. I can't remember whether the bedrooms split - i think they did, but what i liked best was that at one end it had a great big porch opening so if you don't put one bedroom up you can use it as your entrance.
It was pitched really badly at the show but you could see the potential for a great tent when pitched well. I don't think there were pitching issues with this tent as none of the others were done that well (tbh i think i would be the same if having to pitch 40+ tents)
I've just bought an aspen 500 dlx but seriously considering this as a second tent for more dubious weather trips due to it being fly pitch first.
Yes, thanks for that info. I thought the end opened up - as you say, could be really good. I really really want an Aspen 500 but as we're more weekend type of campers I thought the other tent would be best. ( Mind you, I'll keep a look out for a bargain price !) Most people have two or three tents don't they and we are passing on our little old frame tent to a relative..........
I notice that one company is doing a daily auction on ebay for aspen 500 starting at £150. I did try once but don't want to get carried away in a bidding war. Someone paid more on that auction than what they could have paid on a buy it now!! I'll be keeping a lookout but probably have to wait until end of summer,
